We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead the site’s food safety and quality systems, strengthen quality culture and ensure we continue to meet the high expectations of our customers and regulators.
The OpportunityReporting to the General Manager and working as part of the site Leadership Team, the Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading the site’s Food Safety and Quality Management Systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer and certification requirements.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines technical food safety expertise with people leadership. You will lead the QA team, partner with operations and product development, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen food safety, quality performance and operational discipline.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and maintain the site Food Safety and Quality Management Systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer and certification standardsManage and oversee HACCP, GMP and quality assurance processes across the sitePlan and lead internal, external and customer audits, ensuring audit readiness and timely closure of corrective actionsOversee ingredient and supplier approvals, microbiological testing, quarantine, hold and release processesLead investigation and resolution of customer complaints and quality incidents, driving root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actionsPartner with operations and cross-functional teams to improve systems, processes and quality performanceDevelop and deliver food safety and quality training, building strong ownership of GMP and risk management across the workforceLead, coach and develop the QA team, fostering a strong food safety culture across the site
About YouYou are a proactive and collaborative quality leader who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You combine strong technical knowledge with the ability to influence and partner with operational teams to drive better outcomes.You will bring:Proven experience in a Quality Management role within food manufacturingQualifications in Food Science, Food Technology or a related disciplineStrong working knowledge of HACCP, GMP and food safety management systemsExperience leading internal and external audits and managing corrective actionsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilityExcellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships across teamsThe ability to prioritise effectively, lead change and drive continuous improvementStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and OutlookSound understanding of Australian food safety legislation and regulatory requirements
