**About the Role**
This is an exciting civilian role where you can utilise your specialist experience to provide Warfare expertise during the development and delivery of training to the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Maritime Warfare Officers (MWOs). Working in a small but focussed team, you will enjoy the intrinsic rewards to training output and the support of a global services company.
**Responsibilities**
- Deliver Maritime Warfare Officer training at all levels from foundation to advanced, including theory, practical and remedial courses.
- Provide input to trainee performance review forums
- Maintain technical mastery in RAN Warfare policy, procedures, and tactics
- Counsel students, debriefing them on training performance
- Support the maintenance or preparation of courseware and course content for future delivery
- Work with Training Support Group to develop and ratify new training courses and initiatives

**Requirements**:
**Essential**:

- Must be an Australian Citizen and currently hold or have the ability to obtain an Australian Government Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance
- Must hold a Platform Endorsement and Bridge Watchkeeping Certificate on any major / minor warship
- A PWO Instructor shall hold a PWO qualification awarded from one of the following Navies; RAN, RN, RCN
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a PWO role assigned to a sea-going unit
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to show initiative and work effectively under pressure
- Must be flexible around shift rosters
**Desirable**:
- Experience delivering Maritime Warfare Training, preferably as part of Sea Training Group, Flag Officer Sea Training or equivalent.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent
- Experience in the use of SADL
- Experience developing training packages
