Operational Forecasting Specialist
Australia's energy system and market operator is seeking a highly skilled Operational Forecasting Specialist to play a critical role in real-time electricity system operations across the country.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing operational forecasting models, coordinating with weather providers and control rooms, and contributing to operational advisories, power system incident reviews, and market reports.

About the Role
* Manage operational forecasting models for electricity demand, rooftop PV, grid-scale solar farms, and wind farms.
* Work closely with weather providers and control rooms to translate weather risks into system impacts.
* Coordinate across teams and markets to align tools, data, and forecasting processes between the NEM and WEM.
We are looking for someone with tertiary qualifications in science, engineering, mathematics, meteorology or a related statistical discipline, as well as experience in the energy sector or similar industry.

* Tertiary qualifications in science, engineering, mathematics, meteorology or a related statistical discipline.
* Experience in the energy sector or similar industry, preferably in an operations, forecasting or analytical role.
* Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Working knowledge of data analysis and statistical modelling techniques.
