Due to new client coming onboard, SIRROM has an immediate opportunity for a Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Training Advisor to join the HSE team on a FIFO basis to support the site operations teams on an attractive 4:3 roster.
As the Sites Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Training Advisor, you will reporting to the Group Health and Safety Manger and will play a crucial role in supporting and coaching the of Site Managers, Head Chefs and other staff members as well as an integral role in the contribution of promoting safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible work ethics and food safety culture to our employees.
This role would be ideal for an experienced person with a strong food safety and training background seeking to gain more exposure mining operational environments.
Primary responsibilities may include:*
* Support all aspects of Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Training onsite for Sirrom
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Sirrom Corporate, operations and client site management teams to assist with achieving goals and objectives
* Coach and mentor our leaders on role obligations
* Conduct all Verification of Competency (VOCs) as required by the client
* Conduct physical and food safety inspections and audits
* Conduct incident investigations
* Coordinate safety meetings and other safety programs online
* Conduct Site Specific Inductions and any required Training programs as required
* Maintain the Site Training Mantric and relevant training registers and records
* Manage incident records on the Sirrom Safety Management System and client systems such as INX
* Assist to produce statistical reports for manager's and the leadership team
* Support with injury management
* Conduct Quality Assurance Inspections, Audits and Training
What is required?
Our ideal candidate will have experience working within the resources, facility management and mining sector in a Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Training Advisor capacity. Other key skills, experience, and qualifications include:
Pre-requisite:
* Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (minimum Certificate IV)
* Tertiary qualification in Training and Assessing (minimum Certificate IV TAE)
* 3 years' experience in a similar role (fly-in-fly-out)
* ICAM Incident Investigation training
* Food Safety Awareness Training
* Valid Australian Drivers Licence
* Ability to obtain National Police Clearance Certificate (NPC)
* Ability to pass Mine Site Fitness for Work and Medical Requirements
Advantage
* Hospitality and Kitchen / Chef experience or background
* Demonstrated success conducting incident investigations, safety inspections and audits
* Demonstrated understanding and application of various safety management systems
* Demonstrated initiative and creative problem-solving skills
* Auditing training and experience
* Exposure to ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 22001
