Job Purpose
The Quality Advisor will lead the UGLRL audit program and provide assurance to the UGLRL Leadership team that their risks are being appropriately managed with reference to their safety management system and risk management framework. This also meets the requirements under RSNL (Rail Safety National Law) National Regulations Schedule 1 Clause 10 Safety Audit Arrangements. This includes assurance that all engineering standards, operational maintenance manuals and all legislative, safety, design, technology, operations, maintenance, sustainability and other relevant requirements are satisfied.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for planning, maintaining, monitoring and coordinating the overall UGLRL audit function.
* Responsible for the management and monitoring of audit requirements in accordance with the Scope of Works.
* Responsible for ensuring that audits are risk-based and examine the SMS elements as per RSNL National Regulations.
* Manages the coordination of the Audit Management Plan including all activities associated with audits and assessments.
* Conducts internal audits from time to time and coordinates external resources as required.
* Review report and ensure that the report produced is of a high-standard and value-add findings.
* Provide feedback to the service provider on quality of report and findings.
* Meet with the applicable stakeholders and obtain corrective action plans and due dates.
* Reports on audits findings and progress of actions to the UGLRL Leadership team.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory, legislative, and international standards for AEO and Rail Safety Accreditation.
* The role will be supported by external resources to deliver audits as required.
Qualifications
* Business or equivalent degree.
* Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
* Ability to think critically and ask questions that will reduce the risk exposure of UGLRL.
* Experience in report writing.
