Allstar Blue are currently seeking experienced Belt Splicers / Belt Technicians for Permanent Perth Based / FIFO positions in WA.
Role
The role includes a fixed roster of 12:9 or 3:1 and will involve working both within the workshop and on-site.
Key Responsibilities
* Belt Splicing, Repairs, Maintenance and Installations to: Steel Cord, Fabric, Solid Woven and Ply belts.
* Contribute towards the company's safety policies.
* Report any incidents, hazards or near misses.
* Assist with creating splice reports.
* Coordinate workflow, crew and the equipment.
* Perform hot and cold repairs.
* Perform pulley lagging and apply mechanical clips.
* Identify common belt damage/faults and determine method of repair.
* Conduct belt audits.
Requirements
* Good knowledge of all forms of Belt Splicing and Installations.
* Extensive Steel cord experience.
* Strong commitment to Safety.
* An understanding of high integrity splicing procedures.
