About the Role
In this role, you will use your project management expertise to ensure successful project outcomes through effective communication with key stakeholders and the provision of specialist advice. A strong foundation in project management principles is essential for navigating challenges and delivering results that enhance our community's infrastructure.

Classification: Salary from 1 July 2026: Band 7 — 109,342 pa plus super
Key responsibilities
* Competently supervise and manage the full project life cycle of assigned capital projects, ranging in size and complexity, from start up to close out.
* Deliver exceptional stakeholder management to mitigate potential risks and demonstrate project value-add to the community and vested parties.
* Prepare contract documentation including drawings, specifications, and other items specific to individual projects.
* Maintain relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders by communicating information and updates clearly, concisely, and professionally.
* Contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture by supporting change activities and actively collaborating with team members to achieve high levels of productivity.
* Execute, monitor, and report on work progress against plans and budgets to ensure timely delivery in line with relevant regulations and policies.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification in Project Management or related field and/or several years of demonstrated experience in Capital Project Management. You will also have:
* Demonstrated experience in project management in either the construction management (civil or building) or recreation facilities areas.
* Demonstrated experience in the use of judgment to enable quality decision making within a project management context.
* A good knowledge of the construction industry and an understanding of local government.
* Good problem solving and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders to achieve task outcomes.
* Demonstrated people skills to support, influence, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders.
* Current Working with Children Card (employee).
* Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
* Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check (funded by the City).
