Community support workers play a vital role in empowering individuals with disabilities and psychosocial needs to achieve their goals and increase their independence within the community. They provide assistance with daily living activities, promote positive behaviors, and facilitate skill development.
* Taking clients on social outings and engaging them in activities
* Providing home-based care services for daily living tasks such as toileting, showering, and dressing
* Performing light domestic duties and assisting clients with meal preparation and eating
* Administering medication and handling related duties
* Liaising with families and representatives of clients to ensure comprehensive support
The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, be able to build meaningful relationships with clients, and demonstrate a commitment to person-centered care that values client choice and goals. Previous experience working with high-care clients is highly regarded. A valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and relevant screening checks are essential requirements.
