As a leader in our Defence Vetting Team, you will oversee a team of Vetting Analysts, guiding them through complex personal security clearance processes across various security levels. Our roles offer flexibility to balance work and personal life, with options for reduced hours.
The Opportunity
This role is ideal for those with extensive vetting experience in government or high-security environments, including conducting face-to-face interviews. A minimum of Negative Vetting Level 1 clearance is required, with potential to upgrade to Level 2. You will also have a Certificate IV in Government (Personnel Security Vetting).
* Lead a team of Vetting Analysts, providing guidance and expertise in vetting processes.
* Ensure the meticulous processing of security clearances, adhering to the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and best practices.
* Conduct Quality Assurance checks on Personal Security Files (PSFs), ensuring compliance with standards and policies.
* Manage caseloads efficiently and effectively.
* Coach, mentor, and develop Analysts and Senior Analysts, including onboarding new team members.
* Document and provide data-driven advice on clearance outcomes, maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
Your Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
* Supervising a high-performing team, assessing security clearance cases, and utilizing your vetting experience to enhance team capabilities.
* Ensuring meticulous processing of security clearances, adhering to the PSPF and EY best practices.
* Conducting Quality Assurance checks on PSFs to ensure compliance with standards and policies.
* Managing caseloads efficiently and effectively.
* Coaching, mentoring, and developing Analysts and Senior Analysts, including onboarding new team members.
* Documenting and providing data-driven advice on clearance outcomes, maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
What We Look For
To succeed in this role, you should have:
* Extensive vetting experience in government or high-security environments, including conducting face-to-face interviews.
* A minimum of Negative Vetting Level 1 clearance, with potential to upgrade to Level 2.
* Certificate IV in Government (Personnel Security Vetting).
