Your new role
As a Data Analyst (Power BI), you will transform complex data into actionable insights. This role involves gathering requirements, designing and developing Power BI dashboards, and collaborating with technical teams to ensure data models meet business needs. You'll also provide training and documentation to support self-service BI adoption and enhance data literacy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Gather and document reporting requirements from stakeholders.
* Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
* Write SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
* Collaborate on data modelling using dimensional modelling techniques.
* Document processes, data sources, and business logic for transparency.
* Deliver user training and support to promote effective use of BI tools.
What you'll need to succeed
* Higher Education Experience: Demonstrated experience working within a university or similar environment.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in Power BI (including DAX, Power Query) and strong SQL skills.
* Data Modelling Knowledge: Familiarity with dimensional modelling (star/snowflake schemas).
* Requirements Management: Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.
* Communication & Training: Skilled in delivering user training and creating clear documentation.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot data issues.
