Role Description
This is a contract role for a Psychologist/EMDR Therapist, based in Miranda, NSW, with the flexibility to work part-time. In this role, the therapist will provide evidence-based therapy, and EMDR interventions to clients.
General responsibilities include counseling individuals through challenges and working collaboratively with healthcare, workplace and support networks to enhance client outcomes.
If you have additional desirable skills such as couples counselling experience, experience in oncology, health or survivorship, adult autism or ADHD assessments, please outline your training and experience.

Afternoons and evenings are available, and all day Friday and Saturday.
Qualifications
* Post graduation trainings undertaken in EMDR, IFS, mindfulness, Schema Therapy or other trauma informed modality
* Registered to work in Australia with AHPRA
* Currently hold Medicare Provider Number in Psychology, Mental Health Social Work or Mental Health Nurse.
* Experience in applying the expectations of the Code of Conduct eg conducting culturally sensitive, neurodiversity informed therapy
* Understanding of therapeutic techniques such as EMDR, and knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic practices for individuals of all backgrounds
* Absolutely fanatical attention to detail
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate and empathetic approach
* Registratione or certification as a work cover provider, ( or willing to do the brief certification) with credentials to practice in New South Wales
* Ability to manage the role of contracting your business to our company - can work comfortably both independently and as part of a collaborative team
* Prior experience in addressing trauma-related issues and life transition challenges is highly regarded
