The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a detail orientated Logistics Officer to coordinate and oversee all aspects of the logistics. This role involves managing the movement of goods, coordinating with suppliers and vendors, optimising transportation routes, and ensuring timely delivery of products.
This is a permanent full-time role, based at our office in Wattleup.
Duties & Responsibilities
Create, schedule and coordinate delivery of international shipments to meet company deadlines, including selecting fastest and most economical route.
Create, schedule and coordinate delivery of domestic shipments to meet company deadlines, including selecting fastest and most economical route.
Ensure accurate record of all consignments, and that all consignments comply with local and international regulations.
Review, and manage purchase orders for logistics activities to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices.
Assess supplier performance regularly, addressing any issues and ensuring alignment with quality and delivery standards.
Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, such as delays, damages, or disruptions.
Preparation of export paperwork including Shipper's letter of instruction, commercial invoices, packing lists and certificates of origin.
Liaise with Customs Broker to minimise duty exposure, providing additional part information and documentation where required.
About You
To be considered for this position you will ideally have:
Previous experience working in Logistics, Supply Chain Management (preferred).
Competent with MS Office suite and previous experience with Pronto would be advantageous.
Cert IV in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or other equivalent qualification would be highly advantageous.
Outstanding communication and presentation skills adaptable for different clients and various levels of employees.
Able to work in busy conditions, subject to tight timeframes and with competing demands.
Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
