Overview
Senior Investment Risk Analyst - Perpetual Asset Management role at Perpetual Limited. This role sits within the Investment Analytics & Risk team and provides critical support to Investment Risk functions across Perpetual and Pendal boutiques. You will contribute to the development and implementation of best-practice approaches in Investment Risk Analytics and Reporting. The team is responsible for Market, Liquidity, and Counterparty Risk reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering recurring tasks and risk reports with accuracy and timeliness
- Contributing to the enhancement of Investment Risk monitoring, governance, reporting, data integrity, and over-the-counter instrument capture
- Ensuring the accuracy of risk-related documentation, such as policies, standards, frameworks, and procedures
- Improving existing risk processes, controls, and engineering future-fit solutions
- Working with stakeholders and service providers to deliver key uplift objectives
About you / Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Commerce, Mathematics, or related field
- Postgraduate qualifications (e.g. CFA, FRM) highly regarded
- 5+ years in financial services, including 2+ years in Investment Risk
- Strong understanding of Australian Investment Risk regulations; offshore exposure a plus
- Experience across at least one of these asset classes: Fixed Income, Equities, Multi Asset
- Familiarity with derivatives
- Experience with third-party risk models and explaining risk drivers to stakeholders
- Advanced Excel skills essential; VBA, PowerBI, and FactSet desirable
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and time management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Lists
