Renal Services (THS - North) has an acute haemodialysis unit at the LGH and an outpatient satellite Renal Unit, based in Kings Meadows. The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) is based at the LGH and has oversight of both services. This ANUM position is important to both sites, as it provides assistance to the NUM, with day‑to‑day management, operation and coordination of human and physical resources to provide optimal patient care to patients requiring renal replacement therapies and support.
Renal Services North provides: haemodialysis; home dialysis therapies; renal transplantation pre and post work‑up and follow‑up; as well as CKD education and supportive care.
Role
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) – Renal Services is an experienced renal nurse with clinical leadership knowledge and skills, who will work in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and other senior staff to ensure efficient and effective provision of care, and human resource coordination – staff replacement; staff redeployment between LGH and KM renal. The ANUM will be willing to act up in the NUM role for periods of leave relief.
Responsibilities
* Provide a high level of clinical knowledge and skill to support staff and ensure clinical standards, policies and procedures are followed.
* Assist and support the NUM in developing and maintaining a strong, collaborative, professional team environment that promotes a positive culture and contemporary nursing leadership.
* Support the NUM in decision‑making regarding cost‑effective and efficient approaches to managing resources, and collaboratively explain business decisions to staff.

Employment Details
Permanent part‑time, shift worker position, working 48 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed upon date. Hours will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary and Allowances
Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum (pro rata). Our employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. The salary range is in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
Additional allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.

Eligibility
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a registered nurse.
