Schwarz are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our dynamic team at our Boulder Creek Wind Farm Project. You’ll work alongside leading engineers, construction specialists, and environmentalists, contributing to cutting‑edge projects in renewable energy, civil construction, and infrastructure.

As a Project Engineer at Schwarz, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, management, and successful delivery of civil construction projects. You will oversee technical execution, ensure quality and compliance, manage project budgets and schedules, and provide leadership and mentoring to site teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage civil construction projects ensuring adherence to quality, safety, budget, and timelines.
- Prepare, manage, and monitor project schedules and budgets, including detailed cost tracking and reporting.
- Oversee project documentation including quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC), variation management, and progress claims.
- Provide technical expertise, advice, and guidance on project execution, methodologies, and design interpretation.
- Mentor and supervise engineering and site personnel, fostering technical competence and professional growth.
- Review and approve technical project documents and drawings.
- Coordinate and liaise effectively with internal stakeholders including project managers, construction managers, and site engineers.
- Manage external stakeholder relationships, including subcontractors and clients, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and Schwarz's operational policies and procedures.
- Uphold and actively promote a safety‑first culture across all project activities, ensuring safe work practices and environments.
About You:
- Proven experience as a Project Engineer within civil construction, preferably within infrastructure, energy, or mining sectors.
- Demonstrated capability in managing multiple project deliverables within tight timeframes.
- Strong understanding of civil construction standards, specifications, and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Leadership capability with experience mentoring and managing teams.
- High‑level proficiency in project management software and computer applications.
- Commitment to maintaining a safety‑first culture.
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering.
- Current Australian Driver's License (Car).
- Construction Industry White Card.
- Ability to travel regularly within Central Queensland as project demands.
