Please note this is a 12-month parental leave contract - the length of this arrangement may vary dependent on the period of parental leave.

Find personal and professional growth

The Project Management Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Project Management Office in the delivery, embedding and enhancement of the Project Management Framework across Council. You'll have the opportunity to provide support, guidance and advice to Project Leaders across the organisation for both Operational and Capital construction projects. You will provide assistance and co-ordination of project resources, undertake stakeholder meetings and also provide direct project support such as records management and budget tracking, with the aim of helping ensure our projects are delivered on time and on budget. The Project Management Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the Project Team is providing timely support to its customers, both within the organisation and also externally.

You'll make an impact by:

* Overseeing Council's project portfolio and ensuring monthly reporting
* Proactively engaging and being involved in project meetings with Project Managers, Contractors and Stakeholders as required, including ensuring management of data, records and actionable items
* Ensuring effective communications across all project stakeholders and construction partners
* Managing allocated projects and budget processes
Maintaining the project management framework and software

What you'll bring

To thrive in this role, you will need:

* Diploma in Project Management, Civil Construction Management, Building Surveying or related discipline
* Extensive experience in the quality control / delivery of building projects and/or civil infrastructure projects
* Highly developed communication, leadership and negotiation skills with the ability to effectively manage a variety of stakeholders
* Demonstrated experience in organising and managing conflicting work priorities

We would also love if you have:

* Experience in tender preparation and contract management
* Local Government experience
Degree qualification in related discipline

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $104,751 to $121,738 .
