Acquisitions Manager for Services, Equipment and Systems


Description:

The Acquisitions Manager is responsible for the effective management of contractual arrangements for services and maintenance to systems and equipment engaged by the Marshal.

">

This role ensures that all contracts deliver value for money, comply with relevant legislation and policy frameworks, including the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act).

">

The position plays a critical role in ensuring procurement and contract management framework supports efficient, transparent, and accountable use of public resources while enabling service delivery outcomes for the Court and other supported jurisdictions.

">

The job involves preparing and managing contract plans, covering contracts delivering security guarding and alarm monitoring services and the maintenance of security systems and equipment. It also requires developing request for quote templates and tender documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare complex correspondence.
">
* Contribute to the development, management and adherence to security policies and procedures.
">
* Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, including judiciary, staff, legal profession, court users, and partner law enforcement and security agencies.
">
* Provide specialist assistance to key stakeholders, including judges, staff, litigants and their legal representatives to achieve court ordered outcomes.
">
* Appear for routine matters in external jurisdictions on behalf of the agency.
">
* Apply best practice commercial approach to seek efficiencies in service and economies in costs while ensuring good governance over processes and systems consistent with Commonwealth procurement rules.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have strong skills in strategic planning, contract negotiation and stakeholder engagement. They will be experienced in procurement and contract management, with knowledge of relevant legislation and policy frameworks.
