Sustainable Procurement Specialist Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Procurement Sustainability Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on embedding sustainable procurement practices and driving key strategic initiatives aligned with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure procurement decisions support ESG objectives, drive initiatives, manage risks, and oversee the execution of sustainability goals.
Main Responsibilities
* Sustainable Procurement Strategy: Assist in developing and executing a sustainable procurement strategy that aligns with firm-wide sustainability objectives.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to collaborate on sustainability priorities.
* ESG Goals & Reporting: Support the achievement of ESG targets, including Modern Slavery, and prepare internal and external sustainability reports.
* Risk Management: Identify and mitigate ESG-related risks, including Modern Slavery, and assist with risk reporting.
* Data Analysis: Conduct data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within procurement processes.
* Project Management: Lead and manage sustainable procurement activities, aligning them with business goals and providing regular updates to senior stakeholders.
Key Skills & Qualifications
* Formal Qualification: A degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Knowledge of Australian Regulations: Familiarity with Australian Modern Slavery regulations.
* Project Management & Business Analysis Skills: Experience in project management or business analysis, preferably in a risk management program informed by a risk and compliance framework.
* Influencing & Communication Skills: Strong influencing and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Experience in Risk Management: Demonstrated experience implementing, managing, or having worked in an environment with a risk management program.
* Digitized Environment: Experience implementing and/or managing risk management processes in a digitized environment.
* Compliance Management: Relevant experience in risk management, supplier engagement, or compliance management.
* Process Introduction: Managing/coordinating the introduction of new process and systems initiatives/projects, delivering business requirements, conducting user acceptance testing, training, and documentation.
* Certified Compliance Professional: Holding a certified compliance professional designation is a bonus.
