Senior Social Worker - Travel and relocation assistance - Launceston, Tasmania
About the Role: We are seeking applicants for a Senior Social Worker position in a hospital in Launceston, Tasmania. This is a permanent, full‐time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight. We are seeking a Social Worker to join our multidisciplinary team providing person‐centered, recovery‐oriented, and trauma‐informed care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide Senior Social Work leadership and contribute to the development, provision, and evaluation of social work services
* Mentor and supervise Social Work staff practice and student development
* Provide information, support, and counseling to individuals and families within the inpatient setting
* Provide Social Work interventions that aim to minimise the impact of chronic or acute health conditions, including Palliative Care and Oncology clients
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals and service providers for seamless care

About You:
* Tertiary qualification in Social Work
* AASW Registration
* Patient, service‐orientated and more importantly a 'people person'
* Active listener and critical thinking skills
* Strong ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures
* Demonstrated high standard of oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, time management and organisation to ensure effective teamwork
* Current driver's licence
* Working with children check
* Eligible to work permanently in Australia
