As part of our Science teaching team, we have a full-time Physics Teacher position available.
The successful applicant will be an energetic and motivated staff member, keen to develop and deliver high-quality teaching programmes within the Science Faculty. We want all our staff to continue developing professionally within a collegial and high-performing culture, dedicated to supporting students to achieve academically, flourish as individuals, and become life-long learners.
The Successful candidate will have:
* Demonstrated deep and broad subject knowledge in Physics, supported by academic excellence and a strong commitment to lifelong learning.
* Teachers of General Science (Years 7–12) with a specialisation in Physics will be considered favourably. Graduates with a strong academic background in Physics or related disciplines are also encouraged to apply.
* Demonstrated ability to apply effective planning, teaching, learning and assessment principles that support high-quality classroom practice.
* Proven excellence as a classroom practitioner, using engaging and differentiated strategies that cater for diverse learners, and sustaining a literacy-rich curriculum with purposeful use of technology to enhance learning outcomes.
* Capacity to display common sense, maturity, good judgement and discretion in all matters relating to students and their families.
* Current working rights for Australia.
* Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
