Qualifications & Experience
We are looking for team members who bring energy, care, and a love for working outdoors. Ideal candidates will have:
* Friendly and approachable personality, with great customer service skills
* Must be available weekends and school holidays
* Basic food handling knowledge (coffee, gelato, snacks)
* Experience in hospitality, tourism, or retail is an essential
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment with a positive attitude
* Clear communication skills and a team-focused mindset
* Reliability and punctuality
* Valid Australian Driver Licence (required for Xpress Fun Train operation)
* Willingness to learn train operations and safety procedures (training provided)
* Current First Aid certificate (preferred)
* Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or eligibility to apply (required for some roles)
Tasks & Responsibilities
Join the team at Xpress Fun Train and help create joyful experiences for park visitors As a team member, you'll be responsible for:
* Welcoming guests and assisting with train boarding in a friendly, professional manner
* Operating or supporting train rides through Roma Street Parkland, ensuring safety and enjoyment
* Serving coffee, gelato, and snacks with care and attention to presentation
* Checking in with customers to ensure they're satisfied with their food, drinks, and overall experience
* Keeping work areas clean and organised, including food service stations and seating zones
* Restocking supplies and monitoring inventory for café items and guest essentials
* Supporting special events and holidays, including setup, decoration, and guest coordination
* Working as part of a team, communicating clearly and helping create a positive, energetic environment
* Following health and safety procedures, including food handling and equipment use
