Talent Focus are recruiting an experienced Warehouse Manager for our client located in Acacia Ridge. The position will commence in an ongoing casual nature with view to permanency. The warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing receiving, storage, shipping, dispatch and inventory accuracy, ensuring efficient warehouse operations. Job tasks and responsibilities: Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements Maintain standards of health, safety and security Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system Plan work rotes, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees Develop and implement data driven continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications and Experience: Degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration Previous experience managing a regional warehouse Demonstrable business improvement experience, both operational and financial Demonstrable experience leading diverse, physically separated teams to deliver high performance results Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices Expertise in the use of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive performance Extensive knowledge of ERP/MRP system Advanced knowledge of warehouse design, layout and sequencing principles Advanced level Microsoft Excel, Word About you: Excellent leadership and people management skills Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships Strong negotiation and communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written across all levels of the business Strong decision making and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and a willingness to get hands on when needed What we offer: Competitive salary that will reflect your experience Potential for permanency "make the role your own" Opportunities for growth and career development Access to mentoring programs Secure on-site parking.
