Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced English Humanities Teacher to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our educational community, you will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse student needs and abilities.
Main Responsibilities:
* Design and implement innovative teaching strategies to promote student learning and engagement.
* Teach a range of subjects within the English Humanities curriculum, including literacy and numeracy skills.
* Evaluate student progress and use data to inform teaching practice and provide feedback to students and parents.
* Foster collaborative relationships with colleagues, parents, and the broader school community to support student learning and wellbeing.
Key Selection Criteria:
* SC1: Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the capacity to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills.
* SC2: Demonstrated ability to implement high-impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluate the impact of learning and teaching programs on student learning growth.
* SC3: Demonstrated ability to monitor and assess student learning, using data to inform teaching practice and provide feedback on student learning growth and achievement to students and parents.
* SC4: Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader school community to support student learning and wellbeing.
* SC5: Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values, reflecting upon practice and engaging in professional learning to continually improve the quality of teaching.
