The Consultant Accounts Payable Assistant (6 months) is responsible for supporting the finance team in managing and processing supplier invoices, payments, and expense reports in an accurate and timely manner. This role ensures compliance with company policies, maintains accurate financial records, and assists in month-end closing activities.

KEY DUTIES

* Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization before posting.
* Match purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes to confirm completeness of documentation.
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies or payment issues.
* Prepare and process weekly and monthly payment runs (electronic and manual).
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records in the accounting system.
* Assist with employee expense claim processing and compliance checks.
* Support month-end closing activities by ensuring all invoices are recorded in the correct period.
* Communicate with suppliers and internal departments to address invoice or payment queries.
* Assist with audits by providing documentation and explanations as required.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of accounts payable processes.

Experience

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
* 1–3 years of experience in accounts payable or a general accounting role.
* Experience with accounting software is an advantage.
* Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
* Good organizational and time management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
* Team-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving attitude.
