About The Role
Ballina Community Health has an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner to join their Specialist Palliative Care team, with the flexibility of working from either Ballina or Byron Bay. This role provides a high level of clinically focused nursing care within the specialty area of palliative care, end of life to improve access to care and addressing gaps in existing health care services through the provision of a flexible and innovative model of care.

Providing clinical and professional leadership as an expert in the clinical field and undertaking comprehensive health assessments as well as collaborating and consulting with other members of the health care team to plan, implement and evaluate care. This integrated approach will support best practice and maximise patient care outcomes.

The Transitional Nurse Practitioner is appointed for a provisional period of up to three (3) years until the applicant meets the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) requirements for nurse practitioner endorsement.
