Carrington's Traffic Services and Statewide Traffic WA are seeking reliable, safety-focused Traffic Controllers and TMA Operators to join our growing teams across Perth Metro and regional Western Australia. Carrington's Traffic Services has been a trusted name in Western Australian traffic management for over 30 years. We are one of WA's established traffic management providers, supporting major road construction, civil, infrastructure, utilities, maintenance, and event-based works across the state. Statewide Traffic WA was established in 2019 as a partnership between Carrington's Traffic Services and Garli Construction, with a strong focus on creating meaningful employment pathways for local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people entering the construction and traffic management industries. Together, we provide safe, professional, and practical traffic management solutions to government, mining, civil construction, utilities, infrastructure, and private-sector clients. The Opportunity
We are currently seeking experienced and motivated Traffic Controllers, as well as Truck Mounted Attenuator Operators, to support a variety of works across Perth Metro and regional WA. In this role, you will be responsible for helping keep road workers, clients, road users, and the public safe while maintaining effective traffic flow through and around work sites. You may be working on local roadworks, major infrastructure projects, maintenance works, regional projects, night works, shutdowns, lane closures, detours, and high-volume traffic environments. For suitable candidates, there may also be opportunities to upskill, gain additional tickets, and progress into more senior roles within the company.
What You'll Be Doing
Your duties may include:
* Implementing Traffic Guidance Schemes and traffic control setups in accordance with AGTTM, MRWA requirements, and company procedures.
* Directing traffic safely using Stop/Slow bats, portable traffic control devices, and other traffic management equipment.
* Operating or supporting Truck Mounted Attenuator vehicles where qualified.
* Assisting with site setups, pack-downs, lane closures, detours, pedestrian management, and access control.
* Following client instructions, company procedures, pre-start requirements, SWMS, JSAs, and site‐specific safety controls.
* Maintaining professional communication with supervisors, other crew members, clients, road users, and members of the public.
* Representing Carrington's Traffic Services and Statewide Traffic WA in a professional, respectful, and safety‐focused manner.

We are looking for people who are reliable, safety-minded, and willing to work as part of a team.
To be considered, you must have:
* MRWA Basic Worksite Traffic Management and Traffic Controller accreditation.
* Construction Induction White Card.
* Current Australian Driver's Licence.
* Ability to communicate clearly and safely in English, both verbally and in writing.
* Ability to work day shifts, night shifts, weekends, and regional work where required.
* Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold.
* Ability to follow instructions, site procedures, and safety requirements.
* A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to reliability.
* Ability to pass a pre‐employment medical, drug and alcohol screening, and company onboarding requirements.
Highly Regarded
The following will be highly regarded but are not essential for every role:
* Truck Mounted Attenuator Operator ticket.
* HR or higher driver's licence.
* Previous traffic management experience on MRWA, local government, utilities, civil, or infrastructure projects.
* Experience working on regional projects, night works, road closures, lane closures, or high‐volume traffic environments.
* Additional traffic management, plant, safety, or construction‐related qualifications.
