We are Abtas Marketing, an Abalone farm located at Clarence Point in Northern Tasmania, and we are looking for an Admin/office assistant to join our team on an hourly basis to help manage office functions.
The candidate should have proven Admin experience with a solid understanding of office principles, practices and some IT.
A minimum of 1-2 years of administration experience is required.
We are flexible with hours of work for the right candidate. This is a job share position with other employees. We envisage the role will be a minimum of 10 hours per week, with 1 day/week up to 4 hrs on-site, and the rest via remote from home or a personal office.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with processing sales on XERO invoicing and control over logistics suppliers, including some simple compliance documentation dockets.
• Invoice through XERO according to the needs, mostly 3-4 times a week.
• Keeping general facility checklists, templates, and employees' induction and paperwork up to date.
• Liaising with the accountant/bookkeeper to provide information.
• Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
Requirements:
• Ability to work well in a team to find solutions for the company's benefit.
• Administration or office management experience is needed.
• Familiarity with XERO software is beneficial.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, along with strong data-entry skills.
• Contractor or casual employee with a start date in March/26.
• Bookkeeping experience and computer support are beneficial.
• Must have Australian work rights, live not too far away from the site and have some degree of flexibility. Not all weeks are equal.
A willingness and flexibility to assist with any general office work that's required at the time eg. product/service pricing for quotes, placing and tracking orders, searching for new suppliers, induction processes, drafting contracts, payroll, WHS regulations, etc
