The Head of Production will drive growth and be responsible for overseeing our operational delivery from our lighting, video, audio and touring teams into the NSW market. The successful applicant will ensure that all events, shows and tours are executed flawlessly to lead the local market. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage a team to deliver multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event production and exceptional leadership skills. However, we will consider candidates with strong people management experience from other industry sectors too.
About the role
Meet business objectives by managing staff, planning, and evaluating activities.
Overall responsibility to ensure high quaintly product and shows are prepped and delivered.
Work closely with the NSW General Manager to build our market presence.
Forecasting team requirements, preparing budgets, scheduling expenditure, analysing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
Provide effective leadership by working with your team to creatively solve challenges, meet budget targets and timelines for all shows.
Oversee and drive the recruitment process to meet ongoing growth.
Be willing to build and maintain industry relationships across all sectors to ensure seamless delivery at venues and sites.
Ensure training and development of all team members and facilitate opportunities for them to take on additional responsibilities, to keep growing the strongest team, in the industry.
Be part of our procurement team with an eye to developing and understanding market driven demands.
Drive culture in line with the national productions business culture.
About You
Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Be confident, calm and approachable.
Commercial awareness and ability to negotiate
Be available to assist the team after hours via phone calls, including a some onsite time.
A willingness to travel
Passion for the events and entertainment industry
