Overview
Our Cayman Islands client is seeking a private client lawyer with 4-8 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) to advise on wealth structuring and estate planning matters, including the administration, restructuring, and termination of trusts; probate, and contentious trust disputes, estate litigation and other cross-border private client disputes.
The team advises high net worth individuals, trustees, beneficiaries, family offices, executors, wealth managers, institutional clients, and onshore legal teams on all aspects of trusts and estates law in the Cayman Islands.
Responsibilities
Advise on wealth structuring and estate planning for high net worth clients in the Cayman Islands.
Administer, restructure, and terminate trusts.
Handle probate matters and related applications.
Act on contentious trust disputes, estate litigation, and cross-border private client matters.
Collaborate with trustees, beneficiaries, family offices, executors, wealth managers, and onshore legal teams.
Qualifications
4-8 years PQE in private client law or a closely related field.
Experience with trusts and estates, including administration, restructuring, termination, probate, and disputes.
Strong interpersonal and client-management skills; ability to work with high net worth individuals and institutional clients.
Ability to operate in a cross-border private client environment and work with onshore teams.
