(Pro Rata) OPS2 Part Time, 22.5 Hours per week, There is the possibility for extension, including ongoing appointment, at the end of this term vacancy Join our Dental Team and help us deliver exceptional dental care to those who need it most This role places you at the heart of the SALHN Special Needs Dental Service, where you'll be a vital part of the clinical team.
You will be responsible for providing essential dental assisting duties, while also managing clinic administration and patient records with the utmost confidentiality and precision.
Working under the guidance of the Dental Service Manager, you'll ensure the smooth and efficient running of the clinic, contributing directly to the well-being of our patients.
About the role: Reporting to the Head of Unit, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, some of your duties for the role will include: Providing dental assisting duties within the SALHN Special Needs Dental Service Ensuring clinic administration and patient records are administered in accordance with organisational policies and procedures Maintaining working relations and interacting with other government and non-government stakeholders, such as other healthcare providers Assisting with the maintenance of dental equipment and stock levels Arrange patient appointments, interpreters, recalls and referrals as directed Process dental radiographs About you: A Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent The ability to maintain confidentiality and security of official information Strong organisational and administrative skills Proven experience in the provision of chair-side dental assistance Proven knowledge of dental terminology, equipment, instruments, materials and procedures and contemporary infection control procedures Please see the attached Role Description for additional information.
