Job Description:

A dynamic role for an experienced trust account and general accounts professional, requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.

1. Key Responsibilities:
* Sales Trust Accounting:
o Ensure timely receipting, banking, and reconciliation of daily trust transactions.
o Manage vendor-paid advertising ledgers and supplier payments with precision.
o Prepare and review commission statements, settlement summaries, and process disbursements efficiently.
o Collaborate with solicitors and auditors to maintain compliant documentation.
* Property Management Trust Accounting:
o Handle daily receipting, owner disbursements, and supplier payments accurately.
o Conduct mid-and end-of-month reconciliations with thoroughness.
o Oversee trust compliance and audit preparation for property management accounts.
o Maintain precise records of trust receipts, payments, and ledgers.
* Payroll & Business Accounts:
o Process weekly payroll, commissions, and superannuation efficiently.
o Manage supplier invoices and oversee accounts payable in Xero.
o Perform bank reconciliations and monthly financial close with accuracy.
o Prepare monthly P&L and financial summaries effectively.
* Compliance & Administration:
o Ensure adherence to QLD trust legislation.
o Collaborate with auditors, directors, and internal stakeholders.
o Maintain organized financial records and documentation systems.
o Recommend and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise, business acumen, and exceptional interpersonal skills.

* Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero.
o Strong understanding of trust accounting principles.
o Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Business Acumen:
o Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation.
o Understanding of business operations and financial management.
o Effective time management and prioritization skills.
* Interpersonal Skills:
o Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
o Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
o Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
