About the Role
We now have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and creative Library Engagement Officer to join our Library, Place and Culture team.
Reporting to the Library Engagement Coordinator, you'll assist in implementing marketing strategies, developing digital content, photographing and filming events, and supporting promotional and engagement activities across Cockburn Libraries. You'll work collaboratively with Communications, Events and Culture teams, and at times across all three library branches to ensure a consistent and engaging experience for our community.
About you
We're seeking a digitally savvy communicator with a passion for storytelling, community engagement, and creative content production. You'll thrive in a collaborative environment where new ideas are encouraged and where your creativity can shine.
Besides demonstrated experience, you'll need to have:
* Experience working in online environments and using social media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and eNews tools
* Excellent knowledge of Canva and video editing software
* Strong digital literacy, including understanding social networking technologies in a library context
* Proven experience in creating engaging online content and identifying digital trends
* Excellent grammar, communication and organisational skills
* Sound analytical and problem solving abilities
* Broad interests, general knowledge and enthusiasm for literature, film, books and music
Salary and Benefits
Salary range from Level 3 Step 1 – Step 4(77,467.20 - 82,766.14) of the City of Cockburn Industrial Agreement 2025, based on qualifications and experience.
