About the Role
Become a valued member of our dynamic and supportive Operating Theatres team at Sunshine Coast University Hospital. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our nurses in developing their skills and advancing their careers.
This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Scrub/Scout nurses to work across a wide range of surgical specialties in a professional, inclusive, and team-focused environment. We are currently offering casual positions .
We deliver a comprehensive range of surgical services including orthopaedic, neurosurgical, cardiothoracic, plastic, vascular, urological, gynaecological, and general surgery. You will play an essential role in delivering perioperative care across this diverse and fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality nursing care to patients across multiple specialties.
* Assess, plan, and coordinate the delivery of individualised patient care.
* Monitor and report on patient condition during surgical procedures.
* Work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and multidisciplinary teams.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Minimum of 2 years' scrub/scout experience in an operating theatre setting.
* Experience in orthopaedics, neurosurgery, or cardiac surgery (highly desirable).
* Strong clinical judgement and excellent time management skills.
* Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
* A collaborative, team-focused attitude and commitment to patient care.
Remuneration: On offer is base rate ranging from $41.89 - $54.01+ superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD RN/Midwife Level 1 gr2-gr8).
