This isn't your typical desk job—instead, you'll join a tight-knit team of experts entrusted with negotiating whole-of-government arrangements with large ICT companies. Imagine sitting across the table from the top executives of global tech titans, engaging in high-stakes negotiation sessions where every decision could shift the cost of digital services for millions of Australians and protection of our billion-dollar investments.
The Branch administers Single Seller Arrangements (SSAs) with major ICT vendors, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Rimini Street and SAP. We aggregate the buying power to lead negotiations in delivery of a whole-of-government arrangement that all public sector agencies can leverage. We need driven individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment with basic commercial acumen and understanding of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) required to navigate contract negotiations. Experience in commercial and legal aspects in negotiation, procuring complex digital ICT products and services, and ability to leverage data will be highly valued.

Our work is high-impact and highly collaborative. This role is based at our vibrant DTA Canberra Office, fostering close collaboration and in-person engagement during critical vendor negotiations. Consequently, candidates are required to reside in Canberra, however, we do offer flexible work-from-home requests considered in line with DTA policy.
