So, what's the role?
Reporting to the Head of Compliance & Regulatory Affairs, as Senior Manager, Compliance & AML, you'll help ensure we do the right thing by our Members and regulators.
You'll lead our AML/CTF Program and oversee key compliance obligations across the Bank, providing clear, practical advice that helps teams manage risk and move forward with confidence.
This is a high-impact role with real visibility—shaping how we manage compliance and supporting sustainable growth.
In a Typical Day You Will Get Involved In
* Leading and evolving our AML/CTF Program and broader compliance framework
* Providing practical, risk-based advice on regulatory obligations and business initiatives
* Overseeing compliance monitoring, assurance, and breach management.
* Managing regulatory engagement and reporting (e.g. AUSTRAC, ASIC, APRA)
* Translating regulatory change into clear, actionable outcomes for the business
* Supporting first-line teams to uplift AML/CTF practices and controls
* Developing policies, standards, and guidance aligned to best practice
* Driving compliance awareness through training and stakeholder engagement
* Partnering across teams to manage compliance risk and improve outcomes
About You
You're a confident compliance professional who brings clarity to complexity. You take a practical, risk-based approach and know how to balance oversight with strong stakeholder relationships.
You're comfortable engaging senior leaders, challenging where needed, and helping teams navigate regulatory obligations in a way that works for the business and its Members.
Ideally You'll Have
* Strong experience in compliance and AML/CTF within financial services
* Solid knowledge of regulatory frameworks (AML/CTF, AFSL/ACL, prudential standards, privacy)
* Experience building or running compliance frameworks and programs
* Exposure to regulatory engagement and reporting
* Sharp analytical thinking and a focus on practical outcomes
* Clear communication and a collaborative, down-to-earth style
* Relevant tertiary qualifications (AML/CTF certifications a bonus)
