Asset Maintenance Specialist (Technician) Product Service Engineer

Responsibilities

* Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues to minimise downtime and ensure optimal system performance.
* Conduct routine maintenance and repairs to keep equipment running efficiently and safely.
* Stay updated with the latest technologies and develop new methods to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
* Contribute to strategic plans to enhance service delivery and support the distribution centre's goals.
* Lead training sessions to improve the technical skills of the service team.
* Promote a collaborative work environment and encourage open communication and teamwork.
* Develop and implement initiatives to enhance system performance, reduce downtime, and increase efficiency.
* Mentor junior technicians and support their professional growth.
* Champion a safety‐first culture and ensure compliance with OH&S procedures.
* Conduct regular inventory audits and manage procurement system housekeeping.
* Support maintenance planning and analyse parts usage and asset performance.
* Facilitate effective relationships with all departments, liaise with suppliers and subcontractors, and drive performance improvement.
* Support emergency escalations and ensure CMMS reporting compliance.
* Use analysis methods to determine maintenance demands and recommend critical spares holdings.
* Conduct thorough reviews during Root Cause Analysis and support maintenance planners and technicians.

Qualifications

* Degree, diploma, or certificate in mechanical / electrical engineering or related field.
* Proficient in CMMS / WMS / WCS and industry‐related software.
* Experience with automated systems and strong electro‐mechanical skills.
* Skilled in mechanical / electrical fault‐finding and rectification, including field devices and mechanical components.
* Customer‐oriented to minimise disruptions and ensure client satisfaction.
* Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and diagnostics.
* Proven leadership in supervising service teams.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to mentor and guide service team members.
