Mahinita Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Indian Cuisine Cook / Chef to join our team at Multiaward Winning RCA Finalist best Indian 2025 in regional NSW restuaurant Overlander Indian Restaurant in Orange, NSW. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of authentic Indian dishes for our customers in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
* Preparing and cooking a diverse range of traditional Indian cuisine with experience in curries & Tandoori dishes.
* Ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
* Collaborating with the kitchen team to optimise workflow and efficiency
* Maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment
* Adhering to all food safety and health regulations
* Providing exceptional customer service and responding to special dietary requirements
* Assist in Menu development & implementation
* Ability to supervise, inspire & motivate other team members
* Involved with cost control through effective practices manage & Monitor financial budgets, food, wages & other expenses
What we're looking for
* Experience as an Indian Cuisine Cook/ Chef
* Formal culinary training or qualification
* Strong knowledge of Indian spices, herbs, and cooking techniques
* Excellent time management and multitasking skills
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes
* Passion for Indian cuisine and a desire to provide an exceptional dining experience
