About the role
The Video Factory is seeking an experienced TV-AV & Appliance Technician to join our team in Southport, Queensland. As a full-time technician, you will be responsible for providing expert repair and maintenance services for a wide range of televisions, audio-visual equipment, and home appliances. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the latest technologies and contribute to the success of our growing business.
Authorized service agents for major brands, such as LG, Samsung, Hisense & Panasonic, a solid background knowledge of current consumer products would be required.
The Video Factory covers the greater Gold Coast & Brisbane area and work is carried out in our workshop and customer's home.
We are looking for an experienced electronics repair technician to join our team based in the Gold Coast area.
Your duties will include but not be limited to -
Attending service calls on consumer appliances as per daily run sheet.
Successfully completing allocated repair jobs in workshop.
Providing technical support, usage and maintenance advice.
Ensuring all appliance, repair information and parts usage is documented.
Managing van stock and appearance of company vehicles.
Completing all administration duties.
Handling escalations and on-site technical information for the resolution team.
Skills and Qualifications
Current Restricted Electrical License.
Current Driver's License.
Demonstrated electrical and mechanical aptitude.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong computer literacy.
Team player and eagerness to upskill.
Formal Qualifications (Electronics & Communication) - Desirable or
Certificate III - Appliance Servicing Certificate - Desirable.
Minimum 2 years' experience in appliance repairs - Desirable.
Service work will involve working individually out on the road and in the workshop, so a solid understanding of the various products repaired is essential.
A high standard of computer knowledge is required as all service manuals and parts information are web based. In addition, a large number of units require firmware upgrades that require computer operation.
This role will require direct contact with our customers, so an energetic and positive attitude is required.
Relevant qualifications in electronic repair are required and evidence will be requested.
The successful applicant must be aware that this is not a training position, so previous experience in this role would be required. Specific job training will be given in regard to our in-house systems and procedures.
