School Crossing Supervisor (Part‐time)
Organisation: Transport for NSW, Location: North Bondi, Bondi, NSW, Employment type: Permanent Part‐Time, Salary: $26.43 per hour.
Overview
Your role will be to supervise traffic at a primary school during school zone hours, ensuring the safety of children, parents, teachers and local motorists. You will become a well‐known, community‐facing face in the school's safety team.
Responsibilities
* Supervise school crossings during two 1‐hour shifts per day, Monday to Friday: 8:15–9:15AM and 2:30–3:30PM.
* Provide a total of 20 hours of supervision per fortnight.
* Maintain constant vigilance for potential hazards and communicate effectively with students, staff and motorists.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and cooperate with Transport for NSW and school staff.
Qualifications
* Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of appointment.
* Reliable and able to work in all weather conditions.
* Effective communication skills.
* Willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check, Reference Checks, Police Check and a Health Assessment (support provided for this process).
* Working with children experience is an asset.
