What you'll be doing in this role
Hornsby Day Surgery is seeking a meticulous and enthusiastic professional to join our administration team. Your responsibilities include greeting and assisting visitors with warmth and professionalism, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all; managing incoming phone inquiries and emails; coordinating appointments and meetings; preparing and distributing reports; assisting with billing and invoicing; maintaining client files, including data entry of client details, fund checks, and retrieval of client files and reports. The clinic operates in shifts, with two administrators on duty at any given time, and open from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Shifts will predominantly be 9 AM – 5 PM, with some flexibility on start and finish times on your regular days.
Who we're looking for
* You'll have previous experience in a similar clerical or administration role and knowledge of medical terminology (preferable).
* You'll be a people person, with strong customer‐service skills, capable of working with hospital staff, clients, patients and their families.
* You'll be collaborative, adaptable, and able to work independently and as part of a team, with the ability to take feedback and adjust to changing needs and priorities.
* You'll be computer literate, with high proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly in Excel.
* You'll be systematic, organised, able to multi‐task under pressure, have excellent attention to detail and be able to carry tasks to completion.
* You'll have outstanding written and verbal communication skills.You'll be empathetic, systematic, and prepared to embrace Adventist Healthcare's everyday values of excellence and integrity.
* You'll be able to commit to working Wednesday – Friday, and as a bonus could cover additional leave days to support the team.
