Amazon Customer Excellence Systems (ACES) is seeking a Program Manager to drive multi‐year optimization programs across All Miles AU Operations — spanning First Mile, Middle Mile, and Last Mile. This high‐impact, cross‐functional leadership role sits at the heart of Amazon Australia's operational transformation.
As an ACES All Miles Program Manager, you will serve as the strategic nerve centre for AU Operations – translating complex 3‐year forecasts and annual operating plans into actionable, measurable programs that drive productivity, cost efficiency, and customer experience improvements across the entire fulfilment and delivery network.
You will own the design, planning, and delivery of multi‐year strategic programs that cut across First Mile FCs, Middle Mile transportation, and Last Mile delivery operations. You will partner with operations leadership, finance, supply chain, and technology teams to define the path forward on our most critical network challenges – from automation and capacity expansion to speed cycle optimisation and channel strategy.
Responsibilities
* Lead the end‐to‐end lifecycle of strategic programs – from problem definition and business case development through to execution, change management, and post‐implementation review.
* Strategic Planning & Program Ownership – scope and own multi‐year programmes aligned to AU's planning cycles, translating network strategy into structured roadmaps with clear milestones, owners, and success metrics, and prioritising initiatives across all miles.
* Cross‐mile optimisation – drive end‐to‐end productivity and cost improvements, identify synergies across miles, and build programmes that unlock network‐wide improvements.
* Stakeholder Management & Communication – build and maintain strong relationships with operations, finance, supply chain, technology, and channel partner teams, create effective communication plans, and facilitate alignment across a complex, multi‐functional landscape.
* Change Management – lead structured change management for major operational programmes, ensuring adoption and sustainability of new processes, tools, and ways of working, and partner with the ACES Change Management stream to embed best practices across the organisation.
Qualifications
* 5+ years of programme or project management experience.
* Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
* Experience owning programme strategy, end‐to‐end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
* 2+ years of driving process improvements experience.
* Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organisational development, instructional design or related field.
Scope & Working Arrangements
This role covers all miles of AU Operations – First Mile FCs, Middle Mile transportation and sort, and Last Mile delivery stations – with a national scope across Australia's top metro markets (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide). Travel within Australia is required and the role may involve working across non‐traditional shift patterns, including nights and weekends, to support operational programmes.
About the Team
The AU Operational Excellence team provides end‐to‐end leadership across all miles of Amazon Australia's operations, with a mandate to drive continuous improvement, network reliability, and operational capability at scale. The team brings together a broad set of disciplines – capital project management, routing optimisation, learning and development, business analytics, quality management, variance reduction, and ACES planning – under a single organisational umbrella.
The OE team partners across the full AU operations ecosystem, including First Mile FCs, Middle Mile transportation and sort, Last Mile delivery stations, channel partners, and 3P networks. Its work spans both strategic horizon‐setting and day‐to‐day operational support, ensuring that AU Operations can absorb growth, adopt new technologies, and consistently deliver for customers as the network scales.
