Emergency Management Victoria Emergency Management Victoria (EMV), within the Department of Justice and Community Safety, is responsible for the overall coordination of the emergency management system in Victoria. EMV drives the integration of policy, strategy, operational coordination, and planning across Victoria's emergency management sector, contributing to safer, more resilient communities. EMV works closely with government and agencies across the emergency management portfolio. The organisation is led by the Deputy Secretary/ Chief Executive and Emergency Management Commissioner, Emergency Management Victoria and includes oversight of statutory entities and offices and the department's emergency management accountabilities. Emergency Management Technology and Data Division The Emergency Management Technology and Data (EMT&D) division is responsible for key Emergency sector common digital platforms for the emergency services sector. EMT&D is a trusted partner to emergency sector organisations, supporting the innovation and delivery of modern and effective Digital Infrastructure services tailored to the emergency sector's needs. Its main service functions include EM Strategic Planning and Business Development, EM Enterprise Architecture and Design, EM Digital Platforms and Products, EM Commercial management and Budget, EM Portfolio ,Program delivery, Data insights. EM Strategic Planning and Business Development Branch The Strategic Planning and business development branch provide oversight of the development and implementation of the EM Sectors Digital Infrastructure Strategy. This includes governance of the EM Sectors roadmap and priorities. The Branch is also responsible for oversight of the EM Sectors' Digital Telecommunication services. About the Role Some of your duties will include: Manage technical and operational aspects for the State's alerting systems which provide Public Safety Organisations with reliable alerting communications capabilities Management of service provider technical performance according to Service Level Targets / Key Performance Indicators and collaborating with internal contract management team to address as required Manage the review and approval of contractual technical deliverables To learn more about this role before applying, please read the attached position description. About you To be successful in this role, you will have: Demonstrated extensive technical experience in the operation and technical aspects of alerting systems (POCSAG and/or FLEX) and paging devices and/or relevant experience in radio technologies (P25 and/or TETRA) and conventional radio systems Demonstrated experience working with service providers and alerting systems, including review and approval of service providers technical deliverables Demonstrated experience in delivering service management operational services, focusing on incident and change management within the ITIL Framework Demonstrated data analytical skills to undertake analysis of system issues and performance Experience in managing technical systems changes, evaluating impact, coordinating testing of production changes and ensuring high quality documentation is provided Demonstrated experience in supporting the successful delivery of critical programs and projects Demonstrated experience of operational incident coordination for the resolution of major service disruption Qualifications Relevant qualifications in alerting and radio-based technologies, engineering qualifications, or demonstrated relevant experience Service management or information technology qualifications, or demonstrated relevant experience is highly desirable People management qualification such as a Diploma of Management is highly desirable ITIL V3 certification is highly desirable How to Apply Please click the Apply button on this advertisement.
