Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chemical Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of chemical processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of materials handling, lean manufacturing principles, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
* Operate and monitor chemical processing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
* Handle materials safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols.
* Fabricate and package products according to established guidelines and specifications.
* Maintain compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP) throughout all processes.
* Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment, performing basic troubleshooting as needed.
* Collaborate with team members to implement lean manufacturing techniques for process improvement.
* Assist in laboratory testing and quality control measures to ensure product integrity.
* Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely as required.
* Start with brief training on day shift (8:00 AM–4:00 PM) before moving to your permanent schedule (6:00 PM–6:00 AM).
Requirements
* Previous experience in a chemical processing or manufacturing environment is preferred.
* Must live within 40 minutes of Kenilworth, NJ .
* Strong knowledge of materials handling techniques and safety practices.
* Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is advantageous.
* Experience in packaging and fabrication processes is a plus.
* Understanding of CGMP regulations is desirable.
* Proficiency in machining operations is beneficial.
* Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely.
* Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
* Comfortable with night shifts and long shifts (12 hours).
