Northpoint is seeking an experienced Foreman to lead our specialist workshop at Dry Creek, where we design, build and modify underground mining vehicles. This is a unique leadership role - ideal for a senior technician looking to step beyond traditional mechanical work and into a hands-on leadership position within a highly specialised environment.
About the Role
As Foreman, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the workshop, overseeing workflow, quality, safety, team performance, and efficiencies. You will work closely with management while remaining technically engaged, supporting your team through complex builds and problem-solving.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and supervising a team of skilled tradespeople and technicians
* Coordinating daily workflow, job allocation and build schedules
* Ensuring high standards of quality, safety and compliance
* Providing technical guidance and mentoring to the team
* Supporting continuous improvement across processes and build standards
* Acting as the key point of escalation for technical or production issues
* Maintaining strong communication between the workshop and leadership team
* A calm, solutions-focused approach in a fast-paced setting
* Australian Driver's license and the ability to drive manual transmission
