About the Position
The Rehabilitation Unit at Tamworth Hospital is a 22-bed inpatient unit that provides comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation services to the northern sector of HNELHD and includes vital services such as :
* Transitional Living Unit for Brain Injury – New England Brain Injury Rehabilitation service (Neuropsychology, Physiotherapy, Dietitian, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, social work, Paediatric case manager, Aboriginal liaison officer)
* New England Spinal Cord Injury Service (Coordinator Caroline Cone)
* The Amputee clinics (attended by ForMotion Prosthetics and Orthotics)
* Outpatient clinics and the Outreach clinics for our regional towns of Moree and Narrabri
Our team comprises two Rehab Physicians, a Registrar (accredited for advanced training with AFRM(RACP)), supported by a Junior Medical Officer, an expert Registered Nursing team and a multidisciplinary team including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Speech Pathology and Dietetics.
We proudly support the teaching of Medical Students and work closely with the Primary Care General Practice community.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For :
* Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine and Specialist Registration with AHPRA.
