Job Description About the Role Looking to break into the electrical and energy sector? This is an exciting opportunity to join the electrical team supporting a major Tier 1 Santos project within the Cooper Basin. We’re seeking motivated and reliable Trades Assistants to support electrical and instrumentation crews across critical Australian energy infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on site experience, develop practical skills within the electrical space, and build a long-term career in Oil & Gas, construction, or energy. Working alongside experienced Electricians and E&I Technicians, you’ll be part of a high-performing team delivering essential infrastructure across a fast-paced FIFO project environment. With purpose, respect and a driven mindset, you’ll contribute by: Assist electrical and instrumentation crews with general site and project support activities Support installation, maintenance, and upgrade works across production and processing facilities Assist with cable pulling, equipment handling, site preparation, and general labouring tasks Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure safe and efficient operations Participate in daily pre-starts, safety meetings, and ensure compliance with site procedures and SWMS Here’s what you’ll need to thrive in this role: Previous experience in a Trades Assistant, labouring, construction, civil, mining, or maintenance environment (desirable) Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and develop within the electrical industry Current White Card and Driver’s Licence Ability to work well within a team-focused, remote FIFO environment Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and delivering quality work outcomes Experience within Oil & Gas or construction environments highly regarded but not essential.
