NetApp Instaclustr develops and operates a platform that provisions and reliably runs thousands of distributed application servers worldwide, including open-source applications like Cassandra, Kafka, PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, Cadence, Valkey and ClickHouse.
NetApp Instaclustr’s mission is to make it easy for customers to run powerful open-source applications at scale, across on-premises data-centres and in the cloud. The development team builds, maintains and operates the platform to provision, install and keep applications running in production.
What you'll do
- Work within a development team of 3-8 engineers to build, maintain and enhance the open-source application platform, including provisioning infrastructure, installing applications, and keeping them running reliably in production.
- Take end-to-end ownership of the development lifecycle: requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing and deployment through to production environments.
- Collaborate with other development teams, operations teams and product managers to solve complex problems.
- Learn and apply DevOps best practices as part of a global 24x7 team.
Your Skills And Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in software engineering or computer science; please supply your academic transcript with your application.
- 0 - 2 years of commercial experience delivering quality software and solving challenging technical problems.
- Proficiency in Java, SQL and at least one other modern programming language; openness to learning more.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, humble approach for working with multiple teams.
- A curious mindset with interest in how work positively impacts customers.
- Eagerness to tackle new challenges and continuously grow software engineering skills.

- Must have the right to work in Australia.
