About the role
Fixed term temporary part time and full time opportunity to work in partnership with women to provide contemporary evidence-based women, baby and family focused care in collaboration with the interprofessional health care team to facilitate optimal health outcomes and undertake delegated activities while assuming individual accountability for actions within the position and context of practice.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
* Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting midwifery practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
* Develop in partnership with women individualised care plans for antenatal, postnatal and intrapartum care and may extend to women's health, sexual or reproductive health, preparation for parenthood and childcare.
* Provide teaching to both the woman and their families to facilitate learning and enable them to move towards independence.
