Public Sector People are working with a local council to recruit a Civil Design Engineer for a 3-month temporary contract assignment.
We are looking for an experienced Civil Design Engineer with local government exposure to join one of our valued council clients on a 3-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful community infrastructure projects while working within a collaborative and supportive council environment.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will play a key part in delivering drainage infrastructure outcomes as part of Council's Drainage Renewal and Flood Modelling Program. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external consultants to ensure high‐quality, compliant, and practical design solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs using CAD software for drainage infrastructure projects.
* Prepare construction cost estimates and design documentation.
* Project manage external contractors, specialists, and design consultants to ensure compliance with Council specifications.
* Provide technical advice and support to senior engineers, coordinators, and project teams across the organisation.
