Reporting to the Executive Dean, Faculty of Law and Business, the Dean of the Thomas More Law School will provide outstanding academic and strategic leadership.
The role will foster excellence across learning and teaching, research, and external engagement, while advancing ACU's Catholic mission and values.
With a strong focus on course innovation, the Dean will shape and consolidate the School's suite of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in law and criminology, ensuring they meet professional accreditation requirements and prepare graduates for meaningful careers.
The Thomas More Law School plays a central role in ACU's Faculty of Law and Business, offering programs that equip students with a rigorous understanding of law, ethics, and justice, and connects them to professional practice.
The ideal candidate will be an accomplished academic leader with a doctoral qualification in Law, a strong record of internationally recognised research, and demonstrated innovation in curriculum development.
The successful candidate will bring experience in degree portfolio development, budget and resource management, and the mentoring of academic staff.
A proven ability to build enduring partnerships with the legal profession, government, and community organisations is essential, together with the capacity to inspire change, motivate staff, and foster a collaborative culture.
Success in leading cross-campus collaboration, operational planning, financial and change management, as well as industry and community engagement, will be highly regarded.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, combined with strong stakeholder and relationship management capabilities, will ensure effectiveness in this role.
